20 Stories High
20 Stories High is one of the UK’s most vibrant and ground-breaking theatre companies. Working with the narrative and musical influences of young people and artists they collaborate with, they endeavour to capture the imaginations of their audiences with bold renderings of contemporary tales.
Established in 2006 and based Liverpool, we tour plays to schools, youth clubs and theatre venues, and run a range of participatory projects, including the 20 Stories High Youth Theatre. Recent projects include Blackberry Trout Face by award-winning playwright Laurence Wilson, Babul and the Blue Bear by Keith Saha as well as On Me Onez and A Private Viewing by the 20 Stories High Youth Theatre.
Application Activity
Edge Hill station is the oldest passenger railway station in the world. And it houses the oldest waiting room. We wanted to explore the concepts of:
- Waiting
- The passing of time
- Journeys
We imagined people waiting in that space over the past 150 years – what might they have been waiting for? And who where they waiting with?
